This morning i was pleasantly surprised to be asked for ID when i bought a pack of smokes. In fact now i think about it at least 75% of the time i get asked for ID when buying smokes or alcohol. The only time i dont is when i buy from my regular store on Hurstville station since the guy recognises me because i have been a customer there for years.
Do you guys still get asked for ID when buying smokes/grog? And do you consider it a compliment to be asked for ID?
